Another positive effect of planting so many new trees has been the decrease of sound pollution.
One of the main reasons guests visit us is the peace and silence they find here. Despite being only 10 minutes from the city, we are high enough and isolated enough to be completely removed from the constant noise of civilization. There is no street traffic – in fact, cars up here are few and far between – or construction sounds to disrupt the peaceful life of people and animals alike.
Within the hotel, we use only the most advanced and silent household machines and we listen exclusively to soft music. Outside, in the gardens and by the pool, the only sounds guests can hear are those of nature – birds singing, the wind whispering through the leaves, the distant gurgling of a stream…
