Energy

A system of solar panels captures the energy needed for the hotel to generate enough renewable electricity to sustain itself. The excess energy is stored and used to heat the water and the towel rails in the bathrooms.

One of the systems we put into practice to achieve high levels of energy efficiency and storage is the use of smart lighting. The lights outside the building and in the common areas are automated and turn on and off at set hours, based on the time of sunrise and sundown.

The lights in the rooms are connected to a smart card system and turn on only when the guests are inside and the card is inserted in its slot. The smart cards also control the A/C and heating system in the rooms, which, as an additional measure to prevent the dispersion of energy, automatically shuts off when the windows are open.

As many of our guests travel with electric cars, we recently installed a charging column for them to use.
